This Sunday (October 16th), LAAFA will be participating in the Big Draw
LA (presented by Ryman Arts). Learn how you can be involved. Check out their website for all of the great events throughout the month of October.
There will be a morning session (10am to 1pm) and an afternoon session (1:30pm to 4:30pm) of uninstructed classes for your enjoyment.
Casts Drawing/Painting - Students will be able to either draw or paint from a cast. Sight-size is a method of drawing and painting an object exactly as it appears to the artist on a one to one scale. A sight-size drawing or painting can result in an accurate and realistic piece of artwork.
Still Life - Students may paint from nature or man-made objects provided by the school. Each set-up will be in a Fall Foliage Theme.
Students will need to bring drawing/painting supplies. LAAFA will provide: Drawing Benches, Easels, Casts, and Still Life set-ups.
Working stations are available on a first come basis.
