Free Drawing Class with Alex Alvarado this Saturday Jan. 9th!

1/9/10 Free Beginning Drawing Class at The Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art.

Instructor: Alex Alvarado
Saturday, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

This Free Instructed Class is for people who are new to LAAFA, and have never studied with us before (one free class per person). The free drawing class will encourage you to see with your eyes and to draw with your hand. Instruction will be given in simple shading, lighting, core shadows, and learning to draw from a model. This is an excellent opportunity for students with little to no formal drawing training at all. Learning to translate what you see to paper is an exercise that will challenge you in new ways, keeping your brain and your imagination piqued. Come give it a try!

Bring your 18x24 pad of newsprint, some charcoal, a graphite pencil, a kneaded eraser, your right brain, and enjoy a class on the house.

Donate an Art Book to our Library and you will have the opportunity to win a 10-week Sessions class! Bring additional Art Books and receive more chances to win! Plus, if you register for a class on Saturday you will recieve a discount off the price. Classes start Monday, Jan 11th.

If you want to register for this workshop, call 818.708.9232 to reserve a spot.
