Congratulations Danny Galieote!


 Danny was recently named one of the Top Twelve Artists to Watch in 2012, by American Artist Magazine! Read the full article here. We are extremely happy that Danny is able to take the time and teach at LAAFA this winter quarter. He will be teaching an Analytical Head Drawing and Analytical Figure Drawing class on Saturdays starting January 28th.

Winter Quarter Approaching

With so many activities during December, we want to remind our students to register early for their Winter Quarter Classes and save on tuition. All classes after December 23rd are subject to a $50.00 late registration fee.

I have highlighted our PAINTING classes starting the week of January 9th!

MONDAYS


Sean Cheetham will be teaching Contemporary Portrait Painting and Contemporary Figure Painting classes starting January 9th.

Vadim Zanginian will be teaching Contemporary Portrait Painting class starting January 9th.

 Nathan Fowkes will be teaching Portrait Painting in Water-Based Media starting January 9th. 

TUESDAYS
Sergio Sanchez will be teaching 3HRS or 5HRS Life Painting with a Focus on Light starting January 10th.

 Michael Siegel will be teaching 3HRS or 5HRS Still Life in Oil starting January 10th.


WEDNESDAYS

Michael Siegel will be teaching 3HRS or 5HRS Portraiture/Figure Painting starting January 11th.

SATURDAYS

American Artist's - Twelve Artists to Watch in 2012

Congratulation to James Galindo who is featured as an artist to watch in 2012. We are thrilled to have James teaching Long Pose Figure Drawing starting on January 9th. He brings passion and knowledge in teaching students how to execute a quality drawing. Students will learn a step-by-step process for measuring the figure to exact proportions, mapping light and shadow shapes and finally rendering the details. Emphasis will be placed on correct proportion, composition and a clear separation of light and shadow masses. Read about James and his inspirations and aspirations.
